| Questions: 1) Are you referring to the "switched power injector" posts in the Auto-FAQs? - Yes 2) I've noticed there are several separate posts regarding this topic with lots of disclaimers and back-and-forth discussion from other members. Is there a consensus on the "preferred" method of doing this "switched power" mod? - AFAIK, second method is just easier to do. 3) Is it necessary? - If you don't have a 95+ harness, it's highly recommended. 4) Has it been determined to actually improve new-style (say, Nismo 740) fuel injector life? - Yes 5) Is is known to be "safe" for the vehicle (electrical and other engine systems)? - Yes 6) My understanding is I will just be using late-style pigtails ..should I get a '95 harness instead? ..I assume not since we didn't order one and I trust his judgement. - Pigtails are the easiest way to add injectors to a car with the engine still in. While not impossible to route a new EFI harness with the engine in, it's definitely easier engine out. 7) What, if any, other benefits would a '95 harness provide? ..say, if I added it later. - Every other connector would be brand new. No AIV connectors either.
